Cerenion awarded trademarks on C-Trend® in Europe and the USA

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) have separately awarded Cerenion Oy trademarks on its upcoming C-Trend® technology.
"The new trademarks provide protection for the novel intellectual property associated with our next-generation brain monitoring technology as we approach market launch", reports Dr. Timo Koskela, CEO of Cerenion.
The path to protecting intellectual property via trademarks and patents is often long as it may take years to process applications.
"The origins of our technology lie in several years of research at the University of Oulu in Finland and we are only now beginning to see the first patents come through", says Dr. Jukka Kortelainen, Chief Medical Officer and head of IPR Management at Cerenion. "We have filed multiple intellectual property applications on our technology worldwide, and expect to obtain at least three patents later this year", continues Dr. Koskela.
