Arto Heikkinen
has been promoted to a Lead Software Engineer
Ever since he joined Cerenion in 2019 as Senior Software Engineer, Arto has been an important member of our R&D team. For the last four years, he has been developing software and testing it, also taking responsibility on project management and Agile development. Already before joining us, Arto had been working in startups and done research at the University of Oulu.
We are now happy to announce Arto’s promotion to Lead Software Engineer. In this new role, Arto will continue to have the ownership of our current R&D project. We believe that he is up to the challenge because of his exceptional technical and interpersonal skills, which not only make him an excellent software engineer but also a valued colleague. His experience and way of communicating with people make him a person who can coach also the junior members of the team and create a warm team spirit.
On a daily basis, Arto ensures the R&D team’s seamless operation and continuously mentors more junior members of the team. "Working at Cerenion has provided a unique opportunity to work with extremely talented and intelligent people who encourage and support each other. I have learned a lot from my colleagues and from our systematic and disciplined approach to software development, as well as from the regulatory aspects related to the medical device industry.
